Compact, Fast and Precise In-circuit-Function Test System

The basic version comes with two programmable complementary PSUs, one programmable sine-square wave generator, 32 In-circuit- and Function measuring channels, 32 bi-directional logic channels and 32 stimulus channels. The test system can be expanded with another two of the many REINHARDT-modules. A total of max. 224 In-circuit- and Function measuring channels can be built into this test system.
The fast measuring unit of the test system includes the In-circuit test with short circuit and interrupt test, solder defect and component test as well as the function test with DC-, AC- and peak voltage, time and frequency, logic channels, transient recorder (oscillograph), distortion factor and Fourier analysis. Of course external sources can be integrated.
For fast generation of a test program, there are CAD-interfaces, wizards and a number of useful tools. Boundary Scan Test (RBS100) or optical display test are options. For quality management there is a statistics function (standard), an optional ODBC-interface helps in integrating databases and connection to an MES-system is available too.
ATS-UKMFT 616 replaces the widely used ATS-UKMFT 625 and is downwards compatible. REINHARDT develop and produce hardware and software themselves, this grants longtime availability and swift service.
Two fixture models are available for this test system, fixture type 127 with a working area of 191.5 x 172 mm and type 147 with a working area of 360 x 230 mm.

ATS-UKMFT 627 New Combined In-circuit-Function Test System

ATS-UKMFT 627 stands out due to its enormous speed in the practical test speed (typically 3.6 ms per component) and the short time for programming.
As usual high stability and careful handling of the PCBs under test has been a major concern, because many companies do not know that their PCBs are stressed unnecessarily. There are still test systems in the market which apply measuring voltages far above 280 mV to ICs and components. In the in-circuit test this can destroy or damage the component and cause early failures. REINHARDT has found the balance between extremely low test voltage and high currents, very fast test speed, but at high test accuracy. Therefore, other than some competitors, we do not execute the component test in 10-15 % limits and in a comparator window without exact statistical evaluation. Our measuring routines have been developed with the experience of many years and are constantly being worked on in order to reach the best test speed. ATS-UKMFT 627 is not only statistically fast, i. e. that only the theoretically possible test speed per component is summed up, it is also fast in practice with all the conditions of a typical analog-digital component. Test times can be improved by up to 50 % in the latest version, especially for components with a lot of analog technique. That the high speed-measuring unit and the resp. measuring matrix are only 50 mm below the DUT, also results in the fast test speed. For evaluating signals in function test, an own 50 MHz transient recorder can also be integrated. It also benefits from the short connections to the DUT.
ATS-UKMFT 627 can be expanded with the REINHARDT-software modules, such as the new RBS 100 Boundary Scan module. Apart from short-circuit and interrupt test, this boundary scan test can also be used in the analog and digital function test.

TRA670 Transient Recorder (Oscilloscope)

With 12 bit resolution, 50 MHz band width and samples up to 250 MHz, the TRA670 transient recorder is a lot more efficient than its predecessor. It is used for measuring and graphically displaying signal forms of any kind, from pure sine frequencies, squarewaves, completely free curve forms, distortion factor to Fourier analysis. Frequencies, periods, rise times, fall times, pulse widths and peak voltages can be measured. A special feature of the transient recorder is the envelope curve function. In a default window, the envelope curve can be learnt in a few seconds and can then be corrected and worked on very conveniently: You just touch the envelope curve with the mouse and form it as required. In this way, the envelope curve is modified in a few seconds. Special feature of the transient recorder are its 8 coaxial and 9 high frequency channels with 50 Ω input impedance (each channel can be switched between 50 Ω or 1 MΩ). With the standard measuring matrix, the transient recorder can still be applied to all points. The transient recorder is potential-free so that the signals need not necessarily be measured related to ground. Max. input voltage is 100 V, max. resolution is 250 µV. It is possible to use several TRA670 in a test system in order to measure curve forms in parallel too and display it via an external trigger output.
As ATS-KMFT 670-5 already covers the In-circuit- and Function test, Boundary Scan-test and high voltage test, the new TRA670 is another improvement in evaluating curve forms up to 50 MHz and it provides even more test accuracy and test depth for our test. The TRA670 transient recorder can also be used in the UKMFT-test system family.

MWS 3 Smallest Weather Station

The microprocessor within the sensor linearises and digitises the measured values. In our house, the serial interface can be configured as RS232, RS485 or RS422. The data in ASCII-format are faultlessly transmitted over 100 m with RS232 and more than 1,000 m with RS485/RS422. The baudrates can be set. As all REINHARDT-weather stations, MWS 3 offers highes stability and reproducibility. Voltage supply is below 10 mA in the range between 6 and 30 V.
With a connection cable and a multi-way connector, the weather station is commissioned in a single plug procedure. This takes just a few minutes.
Applications are e.g. mobile environmental measuring technologies, central building control systems, automobile and tyre manufacturers, electric companies, tourism.

High Voltage Test in the In-circuit and Function Test

Our new stimulus matrix boards such as RML32, MMX670 and MMX72 were developed for up to 500 V. HSM670 covers another range up to 1,500 V so that voltages in this range can be stimulated and measured. In a suitable expansion, you can execute cable and wiring measurements up to 1,500 V and currents up to 5 A. The measuring technique of ATS-KMFT 670-5 support the high voltage matrix board and enables you to measure components, harness and devices which create or process voltages up to 1,500 V. The standard ATS-KMFT 670-5 is therefore used for In-circuit test, Boundary Scan test, Function test analog and digital, as well as for wiring test on harness or networks up to 1,500 V. Our comfortable programming is menu-driven and has various program generators. Our programming and the test that follows are as competitive, easy and convenient as no competitor can offer.

The two 16 Bit precision PSUs on this board have improved resolution (1 mV) and accuracy. Two 16Bit-PSUs, 0 to + 38 V, max. 500 mA, can be programmed in 1 mV-steps. Current can be programmed in 10 µA-steps from 15–500 mA. Current limitation can be programmed with 10 µA resolution. PSU2 can also be coded from 0 V to -38 V.
Test Fixture Production System AAE-CNC 2

Our new test fixture production system AAE-CNC 2 enables you to produce a complete in-circuit test fixturing incl. wiring within half a day. You drill the exchange plates of the exchange fixtures for loaded electronic PCBs and place the contact pins automatically. Constructing, drilling and placing the contact pins on the bed-of-nails with typically 10–20 µ accuracy incl. wiring takes a few hours only. The bed-of-nails for the contact pins, reference pins, placing devices, maybe IC-Open-probes and polarity probes are drilled out of the data which were calculated and selected from the Gerber files. No offset or other special entries are required when the test fixture production system is set up. The contact pins incl. receptacle are pressed in very accurately with a special tool which is also controlled by the CNC-machine. Depending on the D-codes the system selects contact pins with different plunger tips from the bipartite magazine. Then comes the wire wrap-wiring. For that there are multi-way connectors which are already wrapped so that only the contact pins must be wired. In this way, a test fixture incl. the calculation times for the Gerber files can be finished in about 4 to 6 hours.
With two to three fixtures a year, the investment will be repaid within one year. With such low cost for a bed-of-nails (often less than 500 Euro original costs) bed-of-nails fixtures are cost-effective even for small series.

MWS 5MV Latest Generation of Environmental Measuring Technologies

The diameter of the MWS 5MV is 125 mm, it is 275 mm high and weighs 1 kg. The complete weather station passes a linearisation and adjustment procedure with simulation of the environment under a number of different conditions.
The ascertained values are linearised and digitised by a microprocessor and are stored in a datalogger (many months) in a programmable interval. They are also available e.g. via an RS232-interface and can be transmitted via an optional RS422-, RS485-, USB-interface, WLAN or GSM-radio module. In connection (Plug In) with a GPS-receiver, the geographic coordinates and the absolute time are also stored with every series of measurements. The standard comprehensive control software (WINDOWS 2000®, XP® or VISTA®) displays the measured data graphically or numerically with maximum, minimum, average and peak values, but it offers ways of control or activates executable programs as well. The measured data are in ASCII-format and can easily be used in customer applications. For additional sensors and signals there are three free analog inputs and a digital one.

New Electronic Component Counter ZE 300 Uses Laser Technology

Instead of the widely used photoelectric barrier technology a new measuring technology is used in the new electronic component counter ZE 300: The laser technology offers a measuring beam with higher energy density and therefore more precise counting and faster counting speed. The ZE 300 component counter is microprocessor-controlled. There are neither any miscounts in counting forwards or backwards nor if more than 100,000 components are counted. It can be used for axial, radial up to 16 component pins and tape widths up to 70 mm or 75 mm and, needless to say, SMT up to 8 mm to 60 mm width. The ZE 300 can be expanded with an optional tape winder for counting the typical 7 ", 13 " and 22 " component rolls, but as well rolls up to 680 mm diameter. Numbers can be pre-selected or can be set by the computer via an RS232-interface. There is an acoustic and graphical display on the tilting LCD-display when the selected number is reached. The ZE 300 electronic counter has an extremely robust steel-plate housing. There is an integrated, chargeable accumulator so that the ZE 300 can also be used up to 8 hours away from mains supply. It therefore offers very high flexibility.
